Meet Our 2025 Scholarship Recipients

This term, YRO awarded twelve scholarships to young people across the Katavi region. The scholarships cover school fees, learning materials, and a modest monthly stipend for students enrolled in secondary school or vocational training programs.

Each recipient was selected through a community-led nomination process, prioritizing youth who face the steepest financial barriers to continuing their education.

Why this matters

In rural Katavi, a single missed school year often means a student never returns. By covering the full cost of attendance for one academic year — and pairing each recipient with a mentor — we aim to keep these young people on a path to graduation.
